Artistic Occupation and Current Awards

In 2013, Beverly received the Joe Leone Award at the Manasquan River Group of Artists Show at the Brielle Library, for her work "White Poinsettias."

2012 and Recent Awards

The painting "Amen" was accepted to the Garden State Watercolor Society 2012 43rd Annual Juried Exhibition in October, 2012. It was awarded the Nummie Warga Memorial Award for First Place.

In September, 2012, the Ocean County Artists Guild awarded "Amen" a First Place award in its Open NJ State Juried Exhibit.

During the Fall 2012, a large wall mural - the featured element of the 2011 dual artist Feathers & Fins exhibit at Ocean County Artists Guild, Island Heights, NJ, of "Feathers & Fins" will be on exhibit at the Upper Shores Library, Lavallette, NJ. Florence McLaughlin and Beverly have co-created innovative, three-dimensional works which illustrate their unique approach. See a writeup about the exhibit which explains the exhibition.

New Jersey Water Color SocietyIn May 2012, Beverly's painting of "Mr. Reed's Gas Pump" received Best in Show at the NJ Water Color Society Elected Members' Exhibit.

And speaking of libraries, from May 5-June 26, 2012 the Brielle Library art exhibit will include one of Beverly's floral original art paintings, "Peonies".

Beverly's mini-size painting "Benjamin" was selected by Paint America as a Paint America Mini-Top 50 entry and will tour the US in 2012-2013.


For 2011, "Round the Bend" was accepted in the 2010 PaintAmerica Top 100.

"Serene Sedges" was accepted into the PaintAmerica Top50Mini category. These two paintings will travel to various venues throughout the USA during 2011.

For the PaintAmerica National Juried Art traveling exhibit in 2010, Beverly had EVERY WORK she submitted selected for the show. They are:

Beverly achieved Masters Status in the National Paint America Association in 2009. She has had nine paintings in the Top 100 Juried Exhibits, and five paintings accepted in the Juried Top Mini 50 Exhibits since 2007.

In 2009, Beverly's had two works selected and on tour through the US as part of the 2009 PaintAmerica national juried art show. She is on her way to achieving PaintAmerical Master Circle status.   • “Red Rowboat” - PaintAmerica Top100
  • “Farm Yard” - PaintAmerica MiniTop50

In addition, three other works were selected:

  • “World Duckboat Races, Mantoloking, NJ” - PaintAmerica Second100

  • “Fly Creek, Catskills” - PaintAmerica MiniSecond50

Her 2008 PaintAmerica Top100 entry, “Sandy Beach Grasses” is available for sale.

Beverly was commissioned to design the 2008 poster for the 40th Annual World Duckboat Championship Races held at Mantoloking Yacht Club, August 2008.

The Art Workshop and tour held in May 2008 in Rome and Tuscany was a rousing success, with lots of great photos and paintings by all.

Prior Awards:

  • NJ AAPL Open Juried Show - June 2008. The work "Viking Village" won the Watercolor Award at this exhibit. It was on display through June 2008. While the original of this work is Not for Sale, it is available as a Giclée print.
  • Five works were chosen by Paint the Parks - 2008 Annual National Juried Competition and two were on tour. With this acceptance, Beverly is now a "Signature Member" of Paint the Parks.   The works were on tour in 2008, are all original art and are all for sale.
  • Top 100:   Nana's Lighthouse, Regatta SPYC and Judee's Boat
  • Mini Top 50:   Wading Pool and Pavilion Chatter
  • 2007 PaintAmerica National Juried Exhibition Top 100 for “Coconuts” and “In Flight”.
